Thames Valley Cup Finalists

The Hyenas make it through the group stages...

The Hyenas made a comfortable win for themselves in last nights final group game of the Thames Valley Cup.

They beat a very fair B52 side 8-2 with a good heads-up display; making Bracknell skate from the off with simple puck movement, strong forechecking and positional play.

Even after the departure of thier head coach Iain Single, they were able to put their hockey heads on and play with intelligence.

The Hyenas have earnt themselves a place in the Thames Valley Cup finals. Anything can happen from this stage and they have nothing to lose.

They will go in as underdogs and may even cause a few upsets.

Head Coach Stands Down

On the final buzzer of the 'TVC' B52 game  'Iain Single' The Head Coach announced that it would be his last game for the hyenas.

Due to other commitments he has had to stand down, which is unfortunate, as it would be hard to find a more commited coach, player and friend. Although the hyenas played a comfortable win last night, it was an unexpected announcement and the whole team were sad to see him go.

We wish him all the luck in the future and are sure its not the last we have seen of him. Take care #74
